Free idea-organizing app
MindSky is a free handy productivity app that enables you to organize your thoughts and ideas. This application acts as both an open workspace and a web publishing platform. You can gather your thoughts and organize them the way you want to be, easily linking them all with flexible connectors. You can also write out large chunks of text or upload articles and highlight the necessary words you find important. MindSky aims to help you put things into order so you won’t too confused looking at the data you have. You can use MindSky on both your mobile device and your web browser.
Take charge of your thoughts
First and foremost, MindSky is a place to dump all your ideas so you can reorganize them better. Similar to notepad apps, this program allows you to create mind maps, with bubbles of words and customizable connectors that can either make your map look like a topic umbrella, a relationship chart, or choices branching out from each other. Ideas can be easily linked together, shared, published, and be password-encrypted.
MindSky also features to-do lists and checklists, complete with checkable boxes. You can even record audio notes or draw if you don’t want text. It’s easy to rearrange any item thanks to the drag-and-drop feature. You can also add tags on your notes—and even use geo-tags to show locations—and widgets for your home screen. Another cool feature is your theme reflecting whether it’s day or night, which is something to inspire you while you work out your ideas.
Lastly, you can easily publish your notes as a fully-customizable website or blog. Unfortunately, the mobile version of MindSky isn’t as intuitive as its web version. Working on it there can be a hassle, especially in zooming in and out of your map. All in all, though, MindSky does its job well.
